We understand that selecting the perfect stone for your project can raise a few questions. That's why we've compiled FAQs to address some of the most common inquiries we receive.
Quartzite, marble, and granite each have unique characteristics. Quartzite offers the luxurious appearance of marble but is more durable, making it ideal for high-traffic areas. Marble is celebrated for its timeless elegance and versatility, often used in decorative applications. Granite is known for its strength and reliability, making it a popular choice for surfaces that require durability.
The finish is how the slab is worked after it is cut, and it changes both the look and the upkeep. Polished is buffed to a shine that deepens the colour and wipes clean easily, though it shows etching most. Honed is a soft matte that forgives scratches and fingerprints but wants sealing. Brushed has a subtle texture that hides marks and water, which suits busy kitchens. Rough keeps the stone's natural split face and belongs outdoors, on floors, and on feature walls.
